due to my utter disdain for ikea, i thought i would dedicate a couple of posts this week to the subject bringing a bit of you through your space.
first up?
the room everyone wants to forget about. {the bathroom}
i like to keep my counter clean and neat, with only a couple of little tchotchke's. make sure the necessities {makeup brushes/soap} make an appearance as well as those pretty perfume bottles, and you can add tiny touches like toothbrushes in a mason jar. functional+cute. even though you might not want to brag about your bathroom, i promise. fresh flowers and candles? make it so much nicer. {and better than ikea. i'm not biased! ;) }
{homemade pamela soap, seen in this post}
{the versatile mason jar}
{perfume bottles}
{makeup brushes in glass jars}
{little french flowers}
{everything together: girly/neat}
I think every room deserves a little beauty. - I LOVE mason jars, you can use 'em for anything... I think it would be a fun idea to paint or spray paint the jar holding the toothbrushes ... And I love you flower vases/holder. - Happy Monday!
ReplyDelete- tianna :)
I love the way you did your bathroom! I'm a little with you on Ikea, the quality isn't amazing, but there's a few things that are a pretty good deal if you re-paint it and add more love.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE doing stuff life this in my bathroom. Yours looks darling! :) Love making stuff your own too.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the way you organized your bathroom counter, so so cute. I might have to steal some of those ideas!

i love personal touches in any room - i do like ikea but it definitely can't be all ikea, there has to be personality!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! You've reminded me to try to do some more 'Thursday through the keyhole' posts about my home.Rx
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of using the mason jar without the inner lid. So clever!
ReplyDeleteCute!! We use an antique baby scale as the base for our candle for the guest bathroom. I love the way you add character to your home! Your flower box is precious!!
ReplyDeleteSo do french flowers smell any different than say, Reno, NV flowers? Cause those are the only kind I have access to at the moment. I try to keep my counter neat, but it sucks up clutter all on it's own. For real. Or maybe my two year old just keeps sticking it there. Either way...weird.
ReplyDeletecute idea! i love the mason jarss!!!
ReplyDeletei'm an ikea person. and cb2. and anything really stark/designy. probably because i'm a product designer :D

I am not a fan of ikea either. I purchased a desk and a dresser from them couple of years ago and the stuff is already falling apart. Love your tips for a cute bathroom
